acsulliv Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 In my Master List, there are various records that are "leaders". I have a "leader" layout that provides additional info on leaders, but that is only relevant for those records that are "leaders". How can I make this layout available ONLY to those records that are "leaders". I want to be able to browse through this layout and see only "leader" records. I know I can do a find, but that filters records for both my "leader" layout and my "master list" layout. I also considered making the leader layout unavailable in the menu, and having a go-to button available on ONLY those records that are leaders. Is this possible? Can you have a button that appears on a record conditionally? Thanks.
DanBrill Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 Yes, you can have a conditional button. Search the forum for Portal Invisibility to see how to do this. See also databasepros.com http://www.databasepros.com/FMPro?-DB=re...cend&-max=5 and look at the Visibility section. If you are using FM7, you could also display leaders in a pop up window using GTRR in new window, show only related records. This will prevent disruption of the found set in the main window. HTH, Dan
