I have a portal that I have made 5 rows. It finds the correct record but repeats it 2 more times on line 2 and 3. This one has got me.

Ivan,

If the fields filling in the portal are not from the same TABLE OCCURRENCE assigned to the portal, then you would indeed see only values from the FIRST record that matches the relation assigned to the field, and you're seeing AS MANY such lines as you have records in the portal's related table... Multiple occurrences of the same table are easy to confuse... So, try going into layout mode and checking that the portal gets records from ____, and that the fields in the portal rows are also from ____.

If that's not it, you'd need to say much more to give clues about the source of your problem.

What is the nature of the relationship for the portal?

Does the portal have the same problem for EACH record in your home set?

Does the relationship work as expected from the other table?

Have you confirmed that the portal is not *correct* in finding multiple matches? (Did you unawarely end up with a multi-line key?)

Could'nt have done it without your help! My graphs are starting to get convoluted. I just forgot to tie the 2nd occurance of the part number field to the master inventory. Sure did some strange things.
