... In a portal, when the user just clicks on a row (not into a field), the whole portal row turns black/negative. I've been in the midle of training users before, and they just get horrified when they do this - it's funny to see how quickly they click out of it.

I use LOTS of portals and don't want to do some cheesey work around where I have to cover each portal with an invisible button that scripts GoTo Filed[]. This works, but it's a pain to resize and move with every littel adjustment.

So, has anyone else found a setting or trick around this?

I just figured something out that helps a little..

I created the invisible button scripted to GoTo Field[] and placed it over a row on the portal, but here's the key to keeping to less of a pain in the butt..

I grouped the button and the portal... It works, resizes just fine and if a super user decides to move things around, it won't leave the thing behind.

I'd still rather not have to do this though, so any other solutions would be great.

I was going to suggest grouping, cool.gif or possibly making a layout where the effect did not look as bad, was more aesthetically pleasing--maybe something very contrasty would work without any extra layout effort? Personally, I always thought the effect was kind of cool. But, I know what you mean about 'super users'. grin.gif
