Newbies steveca Posted August 17, 2004 Newbies Posted August 17, 2004 How do you protect a file from being deleted after it is created? This is my configuration: Portal Setup- Allow deletion of portal records (not checked) Edit Relationships- When deleting a record in this file, also delete related records (Not checked) Still allows deletion of files linked to portal.
RalphL Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 The first item stops the user from deleteing portal rows. The second it is used to remove the related records when the parent is deleted. This is a good idea most of the time. To stop users from deleteing records you will have protect your database with passwords and limit the ability of the users to delete records.
