Text disappears in print preview

I have a layout with several fields of various kinds: date, timestamp, container, text, etc. When I go into preview mode everything looks fine except that there is no text in the text fields. The fields show up, but they look as though they have nothing in them. They print fine however.

Is this a know bug, or is there something I can do to fix this?
