I've converted a database which uses the import script. It works perfectly in FM 7 however when I try to run the process using Filemaker server 7 the error message is 'can't find the file'. By clicking through remote and opening the file it eventually works but is not a solution! Have checked all scripts and redefined the file refs.

If anyone has any ideas please help!

Yes thanks, all files hosted and ready. The scripts fall over at each point in a a couple of processes where an import is requested...

It seems there is a serious bug in FM 7.

I'm having same problem with migrating my solution from FM 6 to 7. It always happens when the target and the source file are both hosted on the same server.

The bug also appears when file is shared by FM Pro.

I tried to type the adress of FM Server/FM Pro manually but it causes crash of FM Pro (Mac OS X and Win 2000).

Great! I guess will have to rewrite with set field/loop script. Thanks for responding - I have been tearing my hair out trying to solve this... any other suggestions would be most appreciated!

We have already informed our FileMaker dealer about the problem (so far no answer). Upgrading from 6 to 7 will cost us $2500 and we are not going to spend this money for buggy software.

Of course there are possible solutions (duplicate records) but I do not want to rewrite well-working (in FM 6) scripts.

I hope that FileMaker Inc already know the problem and they will fix it soon.

Thanks for the research info - hope they fix it soon. In the meantime I'll have to think of another solution. Will keep an eye on server updates/fixes.
