Can anyone give me an example of how I run a DOS copy command from a script. After I import a text file I want to rename it for achieving purposes.

You could use the 2nd part to excute a batch file that renames your file with the logic for the renaming in the batch file; or you could have Filemaker create an export file with the required rename-filename and use this as input parameter for the batch file.
