Can't save changes to records

I'm setting up my first a FileMaker 7 Server running on a Windows 2003 Server, so I'm not sure if I'm missing something but here is my problem. We have a bunch of simple FM 5 files that I converted to version 7. I installed the server and it loaded my files fine. I can see and remote open the files from the FM Pro 7 clients running on Windows 2000/XP. The problem I'm have is when we try to modify records they appears to work but when we view the records again the changes are not there. We don't get any error messages or warnings. Does anyone have any ideas on whats wrong?
