send mail script step not working with mail.app

Hello,

The send mail script step doesn't seem to be working in filemaker 5.5!!

Neither on mac osx machines running mail.app as their default client, or on windows xp/2000 with outlook as the default client.

My test script has been set so the dialog box should be displayed when the script is run, with a test subject and body entered but the e-mail application's new message box doesn't appear.

We are running FileMaker 5.5 on both macs and PCs.

Normally I activate a new e-mail by going Open URL, mailto:[email protected]

but I've been trying to do an automatic background e-mail and even with no options set in the script, the send mail script step still does nothing.

Any ideas on what's happened?

It used to work (I'm sure it was even working this morning) but now for some reason it doesn't.

Any ideas?
