Jazz Media announced today the release of its 'Jazz Styled Text' plugin. This plugin enables users to copy and paste styled text (bold, italic, font size, color, etc) between FileMaker Pro 7 and other applications (including earlier versions of FileMaker).

Hi Jazz,

I really appreciate your work - JazzUtils are indispensable. And the StyleText plugin is very, very useful. Great job.

However, I still hope FileMaker Inc fixes the StyledText bug in 7.0v3 and renders the plugin obsolete, sorry.

applescript:

set xx to (cell "Text" as styled text) gives - unstyled text!!!!

Even when applied within FileMaker. Very strange....

This is something you would not at all expect from an Apple-owned developer like FileMaker, Inc. ....

Hi cjaeger.

Thank you. I'm pleased you find JazzUtils indespensable. Of course I have mixed feelings about Styled Text in FMP. Yes it should be fixed, but then all that hard work goes to waste.

Cheers,

John
