freecolours Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 I'm currently migrating/rebuilding a fm6 solution to fm7. The fm6 version is in kiosk mode, and when I open it in fm6, I hold the 'option' key and enter with master password, I can go to any -related- databse and view them in a normal window. Now this problem occurs: when I open the same solution in fm7, (I build a new interface file), but also use upgraded database files from the fm6 version. Problem with these files is that they only show themselves in kiosk mode, even when I open them by the master password Any suggestions how to undo the kioskmode from those updated files? These files where not the primairy files in fm6....
freecolours Posted September 14, 2004 Author Posted September 14, 2004 Got it solved! Just save the fm7 database file as a compact copy and replace the copy with original fm7 file. Then the fm6 kiosk setting is erased from the fm7 file.
Newbies kemeisel Posted January 6, 2005 Newbies Posted January 6, 2005 I'm actually having the same problem - though I didn't intend to redevelop the database yet. Is there any other way to strip the kiosk setting?
