Newbies Richard Francis Posted September 14, 2004 Newbies Posted September 14, 2004 Why does FileMaker, even in version 7, continue to use the old style radio buttons, check-boxes and drop-down menus from the "Classic" Mac OS's. Under MacOS X the style of these things changed completely, and FileMaker's own GUI does use the new Acqua style. So why aren't these styles available to database designers? Or are they available, and it's a setting I have somehow missed? cheers, Richard
J__ Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 probably for cross platform capabilies. I wouldn't be surprised if quite a bit <g> of code in the windows version of fm was also in the OS X version. also, maybe it's not high on their list of new enhancements, maybe support for Japanese is more impotant or ? Hard to say. sorry I'm not much help here, sincerely, J__
