Interconnectivity Conundrum

Featured Replies

I have written a recruitment database and the user has to manually cut and paste cv's/resumes from Word into Filemaker. I want to try and automate this process by getting filemaker to open the relevant Word document (from a path in a text field) and then activate a macro from within Word that would copy the document and then close it before automatically pasting it into a field in Filemaker.

Is this possible?

Thanks

Nick

I think so but I believe you have to use AppleScript to do that.

I don't really know anything about Applescript and am not sure if it will interact with Word but I think it will.

You should definitely check into it further.
