Changing Scripting infor on the fly...

Featured Replies

Situation:

I have a series of databases that fire scripts between each other whenever any one script is activated.

These databases are kinda like a package for any 1 project.

Question:

Is there an EASIER way to change the "Database names" inside the scrips WITHOUT having to go into EACH ONE and change the name?

It's bad enough that I have to change the relationships in each one (Due to Database name changes). But I think I can live with that...

Does anyone out there have any suggestions?

Should I get FMPDEV., is there a plugin'?

Thanks!

I know this isn't the "absolute" answer you were looking for, but I believe FMP Developer edition will let you change database names...and it will fix all your relationships and scripts. In regular filemaker...good luck. One thing I do is change the name, then start trying the scripts. When the error dialog comes up, I point it to the new file and it fixes the script / relationship. This is tedious and easy to miss a few here and there. FMP Dev. might be your answer.
