Jazz Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 Jazz Media announced today the release of its Jazz HTML plugin. This Mac and Windows plugin converts styled text (bold, italic, font size, [color:"green"]color, etc) into HTML code. FMP7 required. Visit http://www.jazzmedia.com.au/jazzhtml.html to download the plugin, documentation and example files.
cjaeger Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 Hi Jazz, great product. have not tried it yet, just read the docs. One Question: Don't you get the font family parsing output from the getAsCss or getAsSVG functions? Also, I am very interested in the reverse function,HTML to StyledText, as many of the plugins functions can be already simulated using custom functions interpreting the GetasSVG/CSS function's output. Maybe wrapping the Apple Web Kit/IE6 html engine into a plugin is just the way to go?....
Jazz Posted September 29, 2004 Author Posted September 29, 2004 Hi cjaeger, It is true that the getAsCss and getAsSVG functions provide the font family name, however the family name is not available to plugins. [Plugins have a different set of core functions or "API"s to work with]. If (or hopefully when) the plugin can obtain this information, it will be added. Cheers, John
