Exporting text field data to a .slk file truncates text at 253 characters. Is this the limit? What do I need to do to export more text for use in an Excel file?

Hmmm. Number fields are limited to 255 characters. Make sure the field is *really* data type text and not number.

To export to excel you can use just about any export format. I use html a lot because it contains the field names.

actually, 253 chars appear to be a limitation of the antiquated *.slk format. In 1985, this was thought enough for text in a database...

The fields are text. I guess .slk is not the way to go. I'll try something else.
