Newbies HaysGuitar Posted September 28, 2004 Newbies Share Posted September 28, 2004 I need to know if it is possible to set up two columns in the body of a report and then have a portal populate into both columns.
Newbies HaysGuitar Posted September 28, 2004 Author Newbies Share Posted September 28, 2004 Ok, a bit more information.... I'm trying to set up a form for transcripts. I'm working from an existing form so I don't have much freedom to redesign what's there. I set up demographic information as the header and specific couses taken, grades, etc is in a separate file. I used a potal to provide a listing of all the classes taken. The problem is that the report is landscape and I need two columns to list all the classes taken. Further, insome cases, the number of classes taken may exceed the 48 classes that I have space for so I need the report to go to a second page. So, what is the best way to list the courses taken so that they can be displayed in two columns and spill to a next page if needed?
Vaughan
FMP 7 allows multi-column portals. Your best best is to print the report from the related file, so you can use list view (with multiple columns) rather than a portal.
