Upgraded to FMP 7, Can I use FMD 5 with this????

Featured Replies

Hi, I have been making CD's using FMP 5 and FMD 5, and everything was working ok, but now we have gotten the upgrade deal for FMP 7. Am I also going to have to buy FMD 7? Doesn't seem like I can still bind in FMD 5 using FMP 7 files. Can anyone help??

Thanks,

Anji

You've got to get FMD 7 to bind FM7 files. You should also be aware that if you bind runtimes with FM7, that users of the runtime must use an OS that will work with FMP 7. Namely they will all need 2000 or XP (no more win 98 or NT) and OS 9 is not supported on the Mac Side. They will need 10.2.8 or higher.

Boy oh boy.... someone from from Dallas with the screen name HockeyFan... being from Minnesota it brings back the bad time when Norm Green stole our North Stars and brought them to Texas. Almost as bad as the Herschel Walker trade.

You're pretty funny:) Anyway, thanks for the info, I was aware of the Mac OS requirements, but not totally aware of the windows. Thanks so much for your help. Guess we'll have to go ahead and order the FMD 7. You a hockey fan too?
