DataPro Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 This should be basic, but I'm new and have read a lot of the posts, but haven't found the answer. I have 2 files: Airport and FBO, with lots of fields in each. They both share an Airport ID which is unique. Each FBO at that airport will have a unique name. I have 3 buttons which point to 3 different layouts for updating different sections of the airport data, and I have 2 buttons for pointing to layouts which update the FBO data. There can be many FBOs at an airport and I need a way to select an FBO name for that airport from a drop-down list, then it needs to display info about that FBO on the two layouts. From what I've seen of portals, they are usually a list of a couple of fields that can be displayed and updated within a browseable list. Since I have so much info, that won't work for me. Thanks in advance.
RalphL Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Portal rows do not have to be only one line. You can make a portal row as big as you need. You can use a portal with a buttons in it to take you to the related record and layout.
