UPC A font from Chaos Microsystems Question

Featured Replies

Has anyone had any experience using this font? It can be downloaded for free from here

In the read me, he has instructions on how to create the machine scannable barcode using the font, but I haven't been able to wrap my head around that one. I was wondering if anyone here has been able to incorporate it into Filemaker using a formula to create the barcode with this font?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Frankly I think this barcode is an absolute bummer, and I'd only use it if I absolutely positively had to. Which is a question I think you ought to ask yourself. Why not use 3 of 9 instead? I use it for a number of solutions, and it works great, no plugins, nothing.

My company uses UPC A barcodes for our products, but for what I am trying to do, 3 of 9 might work.

is there a a free 3 of 9 font that you can recommend?

thanks

Darron:

This is a good resource page:

I know I got the 3of9 font which I use from this page, but can't tell you which one it was. All I can say is that if it installs, prints and is readable, it should be fine.

Funny enough, that is where I had originally got the UPC A barcode font at.

I will check it out. I would still prefer to be able to use UPCA, but this might work in a pinch.
