FMPv6 Need to track current user based on password

In FMPv6 (hosted on Server 5.5) I want to be able to track the current user. I can't use the Status(CurrentUserName) function as the machines they are using may be public systems (this function uses the Applications setting).

I have each user set up with a unique password and assigned to a group called "Faculty." I want to be able to use the PASSWORD (not the group) to look up the name of the faculty member in a table. From there, I should be able to set a global field or something that would allow me to use the name to track what they have done or manage their searches.

Any ideas on how I can get the status of the current password in FMPv6?
