Controlling application window size on 'Windows'

Can anyone tell me if there's a way to maximise the FM APPLICATION window size on a PC so that an FMP opener file flash screen can always be made to fill the entire display - not just whatever size the application window was last left at ... which looks awful?

(from an FMP script? or otherhow?)

All suggestions gratefully received.

There are two issues here: the size of the FMP *application* window, and the size of each FMP document window.

AFAIK the only control over the application window is by creating a shortcut that is et to maximise the window. There may be some other OS-level trick for it, but it's basically an OS level thing, there is no control from within FMP.

FMP only allows control of its own dowument windows. In FMP 6 these are few. All versions of FMP suffer the problem in Windows OS that windows are either all moximised, or else they are all restored. You cannot have a window floating over a restored window. They all become un-maximised.

When developing in FMP 6 and earlier I try to keep all solution windows maximised. When developing in FMP 7 I keep them all restored, and try to keep the window count down as low as I can.

I agree with Vaughan...

Create a shortcut on your desktop to launch your application

in the RUN box select MAXIMISED instead of the default "Normal Window".

Then from within FM you can have fun with the size & position of your

layouts...

Hey geod,

I dowloaded, tried-it....can't seem to make it work!!

When i hit send button, the folder that contains the wincontrol file

pops-up. I opened a blank word doc. tried to modify that window

but could not do it.

What am i doing wrong??
