Change normal menu items to activate a script

Does anyone know if it is possible to make certain menu commands (i.e. New Record) call a script instead of the normal menu command. Or is it possible to deactivate them.

Using the Access Privilages does not work, it wont even let a scrpt create a new record.

In the password definition, change the Available menus to 'Editing Only' or 'None', but allow creation of records. Then use scripts for record creation.
