calculate export file name

does sb know a way to calculate the name of an export file out of field contents?

Not natively from within FMP. It can be done with Troi plugin, or by exporting to a fixed filename then renaming on-the-fly with an OS-level scripting language like AppleScript, WinBatch or even PHP.

After racking (wracking?) my brain for where i'd heard of this before, i remembered the fabulous Wim Decorte posting an example of how to do this.

I haven't tried it yet, but it looks awfully clever.
