How do global fields receive values? i.e. How do they get set to a particular value?

Defining them is trivial, but once I have them defined, how do I get values into them?

I don't see this explained anywhere. Wierd.

hi

You can either directly type (or select from an attached value list) into the global field or you can set them to whatever you want using a script step. Their real power is probably in using the latter (ie setting them from a script) but there are many uses where typing into them or setting them from a value list is very useful.

It all depends on what you are trying to acheive.
