charper Posted July 12, 2000 Posted July 12, 2000 (I'm using FMP 4.1) How do global fields receive values? i.e. How do they get set to a particular value? Defining them is trivial, but once I have them defined, how do I get values into them? I don't see this explained anywhere. Wierd.
amccallum Posted July 12, 2000 Posted July 12, 2000 hi You can either directly type (or select from an attached value list) into the global field or you can set them to whatever you want using a script step. Their real power is probably in using the latter (ie setting them from a script) but there are many uses where typing into them or setting them from a value list is very useful. It all depends on what you are trying to acheive. quote: Originally posted by charper: (I'm using FMP 4.1) How do global fields receive values? i.e. How do they get set to a particular value?
