Finding by newest date

How can I perform a find for the newest date of an item with many entries in a database file and then use only these dates found for the item in a summary report?

Thanks in advance for any help.

In Findmode place cursor in the field and press ctrl and i and scroll to the newest date in the popup click it and press the find button in status area or just return....
