Once removed relationship through portal question

I have attached the file if my rambling jibberish doesn't make sense.

I have 3 tables (Training Log, Skier Records, Skier Log) that are joined in that order so when a coach is selected in a new Training Log record, it pulls all skier names from Skier Records related to that coach into a portal.

Training Log (Coach) --> Skier Records (Coach)//Skier Records (Skier ID, Coach) --> Skier Log (Skier ID, Coach)

What I have been trying to figure out (being new to Filemaker) is how to get the Training ID from the Skier Records portal in the Training Log all the way over to the Training ID in the Skier Log to tie the records together.

What should I be looking at?

Thanks for any help.

It's hard to tell what's going on in your relationship graph, and I would recommend simplifing it. You shouldn't need so many table occurances yet; just one TO each of Training Log, Skier Record, Skier Log, and two for Coach should do (see attachment.) Remember, you can access data that is more than one table away in the relationship graph.

With this architecture, you can have a portal on the Coach layout to show the related skiers, or the related Training Logs (to show both on the same layout will require duplicate TOs off Coach.)

Now you just need a way to create Skier Logs. This can be done with an import of a few fields from the Skier Records.

I had a little bit of everything going on there didn't I.

What scripting elements should I look at to accomplish the import?

Thanks.
