dvalley Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 I have just installed FMS 7 on an older Mac G4 (400mhz, OS 10.3). I have configured the preferences as I would have under FMS 5.5 and similar to those on our Windows Server (FMS 7). Every time I try to open a file under Administration, I get a permission denied log. Any ideas as to what is going on?
Ender Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 This is a common problem when moving files to the Databases directory from another location. FM Server needs read/write access to the files, so you must change the permissions of the files in the Finder so the group 'fmsadmin' has read/write access.
dvalley Posted December 2, 2004 Author Posted December 2, 2004 Thanks, I knew it was something general.
