FM Server 7, very slow opening remote databases...

I have an instance of FileMaker Server 7.0v2 running on Windows 2003 Server. It is a dedicated server that only runs FM. Currently I am hosting a single database and I am the only user connecting to it. When attempting to open the db remotely through FileMaker Pro 7.0v3 the server appears right away, however, it takes about a minute for the hosted db to appear. After the db appears, I can open it fine. This delay seems to very high for the low workload, does anyone know what could be the problem? Thank you.

FM Server7 seems to be a bit inconsistent with remote speed. Sometimes it is fine and at others it is not. I'm not sure why this is; just hoping an update appears soon!

How is the speed if you use a small and simple test database?

Did you check your file references? That was the main problem I was having at first with databases slow to open.
