Print Setup Has no effect... Help?

Interesting problem cropped up today trying to print a standard form letter. Print setup has no effect. I set for letter size, preview mode shows an 8.5 x 3.5 piece, cutting my page into three parts, and it prints that way. No setting will change it. It's probably not the printer driver, since Word & other programs print just fine. Restart, no luck... Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
