can someone help me get FM site assistant to work?

My problem has been at the "tier 2" level of FM technical support for 3 weeks (since 11/29/2004) to no avail. I am trying to convert my current (fm 6 unlimited with web connector) database/web interface to the new (fm server 7 advanced). I initially used the CDML Converter which seemed to work well---no error messages, but cannot get pages to work. (I don't think what I am doing is anything fancy...just a query which pulls up matching records on a results pages---at least it would pull up results in old version.) Since I am not familiar with xslt I am depending on the FM Site Assistant to create some properly coded pages for me. But if I use "localhost" it simply refuses to connect. If I use IP it wants authentication. Then if I use the username "admin" and password that gets me past one level but then I choose my database and it again prompts me for authentication. At this point nothing I try for authentication works. I have started/restarted server and services in many varying combinations. Nothing works. I am absolutely stalled on this project until I can find a solution. Does anyone have ideas? I really appreciate any and all ideas!!

Solved. Create a log on with read only access. Use that.
