Portal - only brings related data for one record.

Hi,

I am rebuilding my office DB during XMas break and have several one to many relationships from Customer table. I have various layout views for Customer in which I display related data through various portals (one per layout). Data from old external tables in imported into new tables.

All relationships work, one one-to-many relationship

My contacts-portal only displays customer related data for one customer record (the very first in alphabetical order) and nothing for other customers. Prior to upgrading to 7.0v3, 2nd-3rd etc records were showing ALL contact record relationships in portals, but not properly recognising foreign key reference to CustomerID. After update these were blank

Foreign keys are properly created and relationships defined.

Other portals build in similar way do display related data properly.

Have updated to 7.0v3 and problem not resolved.

Does anyone have an idea as to what is going on?

Thanks heaps,

Cari

i.e.

one to many: Customer to Notes [portal with Notes works fine]

one to many: Customer to Invoices [portal with Invoices works fine]

one to many: Customer to Contacts [portal with contacts does not work fine]

Oops... fixed my own problem... should think before asking for help.

I wrongly generated foreign key type :-) (most are numbers that self generated, but one table has text and I goofed up and only a co-incidental number in foreign key was working).

Thought I'd better share my goof-up :-)
