Need someone with Mac OS 9 and OSX to test solutio

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have just finished developing a plugin for Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. I need

someone to test the plug-in on an OS 9 box. If you would be willing to test

the plug-in, I will make sure you receive a free copy of the plug-in. I am

including a database with the plugin. If you would install the plug-in, and

run the test script, and let me know what the information is that populates

the fields in FileMaker.

Please email me at [email protected] if you are willing to test this

plugin.

Thank you very much!

Thank you to everyone that tested this plug-in. Everyone has reported that the plug-in works great! This plug-in was created to allow users to be able to get the MAC/NIC number off of older Macs. Versions 9.0-10.0 with FileMaker Pro 5 and 6.0. This will allow individuals to help stop piracy of their solutions.

The plugin grabs the following information:

2 separate unique ideas, such as the computers name and the users name

Path to where the file is stored on the computer

The MAC/NIC number of that computer

If you install a solution on an individuals computer, the nic number and or any of the other data can be concatenated as a key. If there solution is used on another computer, and the key doesn't match, the file simply closes.

We will make this plug-in available to the FileMaker as an open source plug-in and charge a small nominal fee for a Developers license for anyone interested.
