After reading the thread about FM Server 7 Hardware requirements, I decided to start a separate one about Server 5.

I would like to install Server 5 on a 450 MHZ G4 with 768 RAM. There are under 10 databases being served locally to about 8 clients max. Does this sound like it will work out? I realize that I will probably need to upgrade the machine if I move to FM 7. But that will not be for awhile.

I believe you will need Server 5.5 for an OS X intallation. But otherwise it sounds okay. If possible, you should install a second drive as the location for scheduled backups (though a firewire drive should work.)
