Which is faster, sorting in the relation or in the portal? Anyone done any definitive testing?

they both seem like the same but the result is different. ISO filemaker magazine goes through a little bit more in-depth of the differences between them. I use the sort in the relationship more often than through just the portal. I think it was, that when it is sorted through the relationship, then any portal of fields using that relationship, will show the sort. I could be wrong!
