Have a client w/ FMSv7.02 newly installed on a W2k3 server. We're a mac shop AND unfortunately we're 750 miles away from. Sent them a set of fmp5/6 apps to install. FMS has been patched to v02 and FMP client appears to be functional as they CAN open the SAMPLE FMP file.

However, NONE of our files (sent on CD and via email) once xvrted from v5 to v7 are accessable to users. User is getting asked for user ID and passwd (which sounds to us as an OS permission issue).

The geek on their end has indicated that xvrted files are NOT read only, ARE at the same level as the FM sample and HAVE the same permissions as sample.

Not completely PC saavy AND not seeing what he's seeing, I'm at a loss to guess what's a-foot here. I've gone thru the various other posts here and all other suggested settings appear to be correct and set. Any clues why the new files would NOT be useable?
