Print Script Issues..Layouts printing out of order

Featured Replies

I have created a print script, I'll call "Print Package" that contains 7 separate print scripts using the "Perform Scripts"function. Each of the 7 scrips is a print script.

The reason for this is so each of the seven can be printed separately or as a package. The script in question is suppose to print in a specific order based on how the script is written.

Print Script A

Print Script B

Print Script C...and so on, up to G.

My problem is that the package prints out of order. First script prints fine, I get Print Script A, then part of Print Script C, then Print Script B or maybe even E.

As an FYI, the database is located on a Terminal Server and is being accessed from several different locations and "UniPrint" is being utilized. Could this be happening because of the UniPrint driver?

Has anyone an answer? Thanks tons, Sheryl

Sheryl,

When creating a print script FileMaker remembers the last print commands selected and those become the default. When the Print Setup script step is executed with the "Restore setup options" selected, the script perform the stored print options. So perhaps when you created Script B and Script C etc.. you may have used the print settings for a different script.

Just as a start you want to go back and select the print setup options for Script B and then open Script B and close it. You will be asked to keep or replace the print options. Select Replace. Perform these steps with Script C ... Script G.

This may not solve the problem but at least you have eliminated one possible cause.
