Newbies dundeemt Posted February 4, 2005 Newbies Posted February 4, 2005 I have a customer who is migrating from a linux based FM Server 5.5 to Windows. Are the database files on the server compatible? Can I just move the .fp5 files from the linux box to the windows? (Yes, I've got the Server service installed on the win boxen) I saw a post about a mac->win migration and that said to watch for relationships since the machine name and IP will be changing, true here to, correct? Also, is it normal for the second server, running the same license as the linux server to not start until I stop the service on the linux box? Err Code 50, I believe? Thanks Jeff
Newbies dundeemt Posted February 5, 2005 Author Newbies Posted February 5, 2005 For posterity.... I was able to copy the fp5 files from the linux box to the Win2K3 box via smb. I shutdown the fmserverd on the linux box I started the fmserver service on the 2k3 box life was good.
