server 7.0 can not hosting on XP professional?

Hi, all.

I am a newbie here.

Just installed server 7 on a windows XP machine, from client side, can only some time find this server machine but not hosted files.

if I installed the server on a mac, it works fine.

does the firewall or anti-virus will make a influence like this?

any suggestion will be very appriciated.

Try applying all the filemaker and windows updates. It works on my xp box, tho winxp has a 10 connection limit. =)
