To create a standalone solution so that users can access your address book database without having to have a copy of FileMaker installed, you will have to use a copy of Filemaker Developer to create a runtime. The process of attaching your existing database to a runtime is called 'binding' the solution, and it results in a special .exe file being created that your users can then use to open the bound database. To bind a file using FileMaker Developer 7, close the files in question and then go to the File menu and select 'Developer Utilities...'. The dialog box that you then see will walk you through all the options and steps...
