To create a standalone solution so that users can access your address book database without having to have a copy of FileMaker installed, you will have to use a copy of Filemaker Developer to create a runtime. The process of attaching your existing database to a runtime is called 'binding' the solution, and it results in a special .exe file being created that your users can then use to open the bound database. To bind a file using FileMaker Developer 7, close the files in question and then go to the File menu and select 'Developer Utilities...'.
