Does any-one know if it possible to dynamicly name a layout based on a global field and if sdo how do you acheive this.

No, there is no way to do this.

This is probably because the layout names need to be static because they can be referenced in scripts through the "Go to Layout []" script step.

Why do you want to change layout names dynamically?
