I've been doing a conversion from 6 to 7 all this week, and I've noticed that creating a new record has become a task that is more difficult than nessary.

How about a simple drop down or dialog box that's available with the "New Record" script step. That way I don't have to create layouts for the simple purpose of creating a new record. And it would remove the step of going to that layout.

What would really help out scripting this also:

When setting a field, add a drop down to change the Scope of the the field being set. Similar to the way calculation fields have in Create Fields.
