I am using FileMaker Dev 7.03 on Windows 2000 SP4 using a Matrox P650 graphics card. When in Layout mode every object I click on the doted outline line is offset by 6 x 3 pixells which makes it very difficult to possion objects. Is there a bug or am I doing some thing wrong?

Hi -

Check the Matrox site for an updated driver.

I had a problem like this in previous versions of FileMaker with a Matrox card. Upgrading the driver helped.

Thanks for this.

I recently have upgraded to the very latest version of the driver but I cannot remember weather the problem was there before. I shall downgrade the driver to see if this helps. Thanks for pointing me in the (hopefully) right direction.

If that does not work, try adjustiog your display settings hardware acceleration. Sometimes bringing this off of Full can help as well.

I have reverted to the Windows qualified version 1.7.01.060 with no eval.

Also I have tried your serseion of taking hardware acceleration down and again no eval.

I tried different resoultuions, bit depths etc and again no eval. (Some of the res made the situation much worse)

I have found the fault.

If you check "center dialog boxes and message boxes" then the offset happens.
