stac_1 Posted July 19, 2001 Posted July 19, 2001 Is there a way to format text (make bold or italic) within a calculation? I have a calculation which compiles a list of entries from a number of different fields and I have placed a "name" in front of each entry (the calculation only compiles fields that have data in them). I would like to make the "name" bold. Is there some sort of formatting code that can be entered?
Chuck Posted July 19, 2001 Posted July 19, 2001 Scripting can't set the text formatting, although I believe that there is a plug-in to handle this. Another solution would be to use merge fields instead. You can set the formatting of the merge fields individually, so that you could have <<name>> set to be in bold. But if the user needs to copy the data to the clipboard for any reason, this won't work. Chuck
stac_1 Posted July 19, 2001 Author Posted July 19, 2001 Fabulous idea! But, is there a way to set a certain "don't merge field if empty" criteria?
