Bug in preview mode (rows with no data)

Featured Replies

Preview mode shows many lines of empty data on these conditions (fp7 file attached):

- relationship from global to number

- script with sort and go to related record (show)

Attachment (on Mac: drag the file to FM7, not double-click):

- execute the script 'tabel2 met sort'

- click on preview mode -> rows without data (only global)

(browse mode is ok)

OK Stanley, I still had to add it from my PC (zipped).

Now added in 1st post.

DBasine:

That is some curious behavior. If you put an Enter Preview Mode script step in, it works fine. If, once you've entered Preview Mode via your method, you switch to another layout and then back again, the data appears.

I believe the error comes in on your last step - GTRR. If you remove that step, the thing works fine.

Stanley,

thanks for looking into this. So it is a bug.

Where did you put the Preview script step? Not at the end, since there it is still bad. I need the GTRR step because I need to go to that record you see... If I remove the Sort step, it works also fine, so maybe I should add an Unsort step too (in case I did a Sort before).

thanks,

Sabine

Sabine:

I can't remember (I've already deleted the file) but it was either directly before or after the GTRR. You could also do a layout switch & back again, which was working for me manually.
