Greetings all, I've been charged with fixing some problems with my company's current FM solution. The crux of my dilemma is this: each record has up to 400 comments associated with it... and they need to be printed. This is currently done by way of (gasp!) Repeating Fields, but since they tend to be mighty unstable I was hoping to move away from them. I'm experimenting with using a Portal to replace the repeating fields, but unfortunatly, i'm having difficulty getting the portaled fields to print (yes, i realize portals were not meant to print, ugh). Yes, I also have performance fears for the portal solution, but I really can't think of anything else to do.

Do your printing from the related file. You will need to make a relaationship from the related file to the one with the portal using the same key fields. With this relationship you can bring in data from the other file for the report.
