Server 7 keeps closing all files and shuts down

Hey there,

We have just installed Server 7 on a local PC and serve a db to three clients (PC and OSX).

We are using a wireless apple network.

The server seems to shut down regularly (every three hours or so) after sending a notificaiton to all clients saying "closing all files".

Any suggestions? Thanks a bunch.

It sounds like the trial version.

I faced exactly the same problem when I first installed Server 7 in one of my old window 2000 server. Problem went away after I changed to a new machine with faster CPU and more RAM.

See if the Event.log says why it closed.

The event log says "File Maker Server trial license has expired. Server will now shut down". So yes, it seems to be the trial. Weird that they would do that. It expires after 30 days anyway. Why punish within that trial? Many thanks for your responses.
