ok.. i have a field (called "phone1"), and the info in the fields looks like this

Work | 555-555-5555

what i need to do is create a calc field that will be equal to everything after the pipe '|' symbol.. so how would i do the calc..

so for instance if my phone1 field looked like this

Work | 555-555-5555

i would want the new calc field to look like this

555-555-5555

well nevermind, i figured it out. was alot easier than i thought i would be. thanks anyway.. oh for anyone interested this is the calc i used

Middle(phone1, Position(phone1, "|", 1, 1) + 2, 50)
