Does Server 7 encrypt the login/pass with SSL?

Featured Replies

I remember reading a few weeks ago that while Server 7 uses SSL encryption between server and client (using "open remote"), the login/pass for the database is not submitted with SSL. The SSL is only applied to the data after login. This doesn't make any sense to me, but I remember reading some posts with some very upset users who discovered the bug.

Can anyone confirm this, or if it has been fixed? Thanks!
